SUMMARY
This 4 day community of practice event will bring together those working in mother-tongue based multilingual education (MTB-MLE) to discuss issues around involving and motivating community members, school staff and decision-makers to support MLE. Come prepared to share your successes and struggles as we grow together to be better advocates for MTB-MLE.
Long term impact of the event is hoped to be:
- All program staff are engaging confidently and effectively with decision makers and other stakeholders (at all levels) about the value of MLE.
- Literacy and education teams are continuing to incorporate advocacy efforts within MLE programmes as they address any problems and challenges that arise.
We expect the event to be particularly helpful for the following groups of people:
- Anyone who engages with government, universities and other stakeholders about education efforts
- Literacy and education team members (those with technical understanding/experience of literacy and education programmes)
- Literacy and education coordinators
